DESCRIPTION
With roots on the island of Santorini since 1870, the Koutsogiannopoulos family has built a legacy of winemaking excellence that spans for five generations.
Varietal Composition: One of Santorini's hidden gems, Voudomato is a local variety cultivated in a handful of hectares accounting for less than 1% of the island's total acreage.
Just over 200 vines are owned by Koutsogiannopoulos family. Cold soaked and fermented at gradually increasing temperatures and then aged for six months in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Pale ruby in colour. An aromatic wine with a beautiful concentration of red fruit, wild cherries and mild spices and a refreshing acidity that appeals to the discerning palate.
Best enjoyed: at 14-16°C
Ageing Potential: 5 years
