DESCRIPTION
With roots on the island of Santorini since 1870, the Koutsogiannopoulos family has built a legacy of winemaking excellence that spans five generations.
Varietal Composition: 75% Assyrtiko, 25% Aidani.
Deeply rooted in the island’s tradition, our Vinsanto-vino di Santorini-is made of grapes grown in select age-old vineyards exclusively dedicated to its production. The grapes are handpicked at full ripeness almost fifteen days after normal harvest, giving incredibly low yields, and then sun-dried for 10 to 12 days. Naturally fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in old French oak barrels for 4 years to ensure great smoothness and full flavour.
Tasting Notes:
Mid amber in color with brown highlights. Explosive, highly complex nose with foreground notes of dried fruit, caramel and honeycomb. A delicious sweet wine of rich texture and refresing acidity that invites the next sip. Best enjoyed at 6–8°C.
Ageing Potential: Virtually unlimited.
